Airport

The morning started out about as smoothly as it could have. we left on time, didn't jave to stop for gas and luckily escaped all the slow moving pockets of chicago traffic. Nor did i cry even once.  in the car.But as soon as we entered the airport, it was the sruggle i knew it would be.  The really only eventful moment worth discussing here was checking my bag.
The tiny lady behind the check in desk was just trying to help. by my goddness how she was not helpful. The first bag weighed in at 47 pounds. No problem. wonderful. when aje saw the second bag sitting on the scale however, she began frowning. "oh. this 63 pounds. overweight. " and she waited for a response as though i were going to appologize or something. "can you take 12 pouds out? books or jeans?" i replied simply "no." bevaise what i was really thinking was :i mostly carefully packed my bags. im not about to go through there here and take out 12 pounds. Why would i be carrying that many pounda of books when i dont even know what classes i will be taking?!. ..."oh the overweight fee is maybe over 100 dollars.you dont want to pay that." so naturally i asked how much it was and said "im leaving for 6 months ill just pay the fee." but this poor lady wouldnt give up; "oh you can fit things in your carry on." now to clarify, i was already pushing 20 pounds on my carry on and all of the interior space was nearly used. in no way could i fit 12pounds of misc clothing in there! and that was my breaking point. my mom stepped in at this point and paid the fee which ended up being 100 on top of the 100 we already paid for me having 2checked bags.     sigh.
and here ends my airport aggrivations thus far.
